The world famous Italian pianist and composer, Enrico Pieranunzi, has put together this new European trio. Enrico Pieranunzi Trio concists of, besides Pieranunzi himself, the top Danish bassist, Thomas Fonnesbaek and the Norwegian drum giant, Per Oddvar. Each of the band members are regarded among the best on their instruments in their native countries, and together they constitute a world class trio.

 

The music is original, spiced with a few jazz standards. The eminent interplay provides top class collective improvisations. Expect a concert med an extraordinary top level trio with one of the greatest pianists ever together with 2 giants of Scandinavian jazz.

Per Oddvar Johansen is one of the leading drummers in Norway and has had a huge impact on Norwegian music. He worked intensively with names such as Helge Lien, Christian Wallumrød og Petter Wettre, and he is member of  Christian Wallumrød Ensemble, Helge Lien Trio, Ayumi Tanaka Trio, Vigleik Storaas Trio, The Source, Tore Brunborg, Trygve Seim Ensemble, Sjur Miljeteig Band, Mette Henriette og Electric Pansori. He has recorded more han 80 albums (3 in his own name).
