Bio

Enrico Pieranunzi is considered among the best jazz pianists in the world. The italian pianist, composer and arranger has collaborated, in the studio or live, with great artists such as Chris Potter, Charlie Haden, Lee Konitz, Paul Motion, Chet Baker, Joey Baron – just to mention a few. He has recorded more than 70 albums under his own name and has several tomes been awarded

  • French Django d’Or prize as “Best European Musician” in 1997
  • Artist of the Year three times by the Musica Jazz magazine critics’ poll (in 1989, 2003, 2008)
  • German Echo Jazz Award in 2014 as “Best International Keyboard Artist”

 

For the past decade Pieranunzi has been playing more and more often in the USA. He has regularly been featured in legendary jazz club Village Vanguard in New York and has recorded the album Live at the Village Vanguard with Paul Motion and Marc Johnson – one of the very few European musicians. Through his career he has performed at the most prestigious festivals all over the world.
