Jazz Paa Dansk means “Jazz in Danish”.  This title might make one think of past Swedish pianist Jan Johansson’s albums “Jazz på Svenska” from 1964 and “Jazz på Rysska” from 1967 (“Jazz in Swedish” and “Jazz in Russian”). And that is no coincidence.

 

Danish pianist Martin Schack has made beautiful arrangement of traditional Danish songs, psalms, popular, folk songs etc. The band members are top-notch musicians well known from the international jazz scene.
